America's Founding Principles Are Being Undermined By Politicians, The Mainstream Media and Public Education

There was a time when I believed Education was the most important vehicle for ensuring the health and prosperity of America and the world.... My reasoning being that as we are educated about history and how to think etc., then we would simply become more aware of what's right and wrong, and in turn, gain a better understanding of how to live, how to be a better person, how to vote and contribute in other ways to help make the world a better place.

However, being younger and somewhat naive, I had not factored-in the natural tendencies of humans to manipulate any system or institution (in this case the Educational System) to gain power, influence and advantage, in order to further an agenda.

This is Human Nature, and without some guidance, rules or laws for us to live by, every one of us will ultimately follow along this self-centered route.

The Education System has become a system driven by individuals leading organizations with far too much power. Those individuals have agendas. At this point, it is easy to see the unhealthy alliances between the leaders of our Educational System and Politicians and also with the powers-that-be in the mainstream media.

Just as many (or most all) politicians have been corrupted to serve various lobbyists and special interest groups, the mainstream media has also been very much influenced away from reporting the truth and toward what sells and their own agendas or world-view. So, the relationship between the two factions has always been more intimate than would otherwise best serve the interests of society. That is, the connections between the mainstream media and politicians have served to compromise the truth, to distort reality and to divert what is objectively right, from the public eye.

Along with most every other institution that is made up of and led by individuals subject to the whims of politicians and the mainstream media (simply because most people do not suspect they are being deceived and manipulated), the Educational System first became a victim of what they were being fed and seduced to believe by these forces. However, the Public Educational System has gradually become implicit in the design to impose the same so-called "truths" and sensibilities through their educational curriculum... to the point now where their power and influence on society rivals that of the political/mainstream-media which corrupted them.

In other words, politicians are largely corrupt, and as a result of their ties with the mainstream media, the truth is not reported and reality is being misrepresented to the people (in large part to help further their agendas). Sadly, the Public Educational System has also become corrupted and is now entrenched in an approach to teaching exactly what politicians and the mainstream media have led them to believe.

So, having come to recognize these unfortunate circumstances we now face, it is no longer "education" that I believe is the most important means for ensuring the health and prosperity of our country, but rather an uncompromising dedication to the truth itself, which can never be influenced away from itself and which is only born of true humility to and reverence for our Creator.

WHERE TO BUY AMERICAN GASOLINE

WHERE TO BUY AMERICAN GASOLINE. THIS IS VERY POWERFUL INFORMATION. PLEASE READ ON.

Gas rationing in the 70's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even have been good for us!

Are you aware that the Saudis are boycotting American products? In addition, they are gouging us on oil prices.

Shouldn't we return the favor? Can't we take control of our own destiny and let these giant oil importers know who REALLY generates their profits, their livings? How about leaving American Dollars in America and reduce the import/export deficit?

An appealing remedy might be to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up your car you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia . Just purchase gas from companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill up my tank, I'm sending my money to people who I get the impression want me, my family and my friends dead.
The following gas companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell.................................... 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco.................... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil........................ 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway............. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco.................................. 62,231,000 barrels

And CITGO oil is imported from Venezuela by Dictator Hugo Chavez who hates America and openly avows our economic destruction! (We pay Chavez's regime nearly $10 Billion per year in oil revenues!)

The U.S. currently imports 5,517,000 barrels of crude oil per day from OPEC. If you do the math at $100 per barrel, that's over $550 million PER DAY ($200 BILLION per year!) handed over to OPEC, many of whose members are our confirmed enemies!!!!! It won't stop here - oil prices could go to $200 a barrel or higher if we keep buying their product.

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Sunoco.........................0 barrels
Conoco.........................0 barrels
0ASinclair.....................0 barrels
BP / Phillips................ 0 barrels
Hess.............................0 barrels
ARC0............................0 barrels
Maverick......................0 barrels
Flying J........................0 barrels
Valero..........................0 barrels
Murphy Oil USA *.........0 barrels

*Sold at Wal-Mart , gas is from South Arkansas and fully USA owned and produced.
*Not only that but they give scholarships to all children in their town who finish high school and are legal US citizens..

All of this information is available from the U.S. Department of Energy and each company is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have a real impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers with the help of the internet, it's really simple to do.

All you have to do is copy and email this message to as many people as possible or copy the url of this blog and post it on your favorite social network. If everyone who receives it also emails it to just three people or posts it to their friends, then 300 MILLION people could theoretically read this message within the next eight days. Talk about sending a message...

My Plea To Glenn Beck About His Current Stance On The War

Dear Glenn, August 31, 2009

Regarding your position on the war:

You mention that you now believe we should get our troops out of Afghanistan (and I think Iraq as well) because, with Obama in charge, we are no longer truly committed to winning the war on terror.

First, I understand where you’re coming from; I had even arrived at the very same conclusion myself, but I now know that I was wrong.

PLEASE SERIOUSLY CONSIDER MY ARGUMENT AGAINST YOUR CURRENT POSITION ON THIS… Please.

“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never - in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” -Winston Churchill

Sorry - I just love Churchill, and if you ask me, this quote perfectly defines him and the power behind his profound contributions to Mankind. I also must say, more than anyone else today, you remind me of him; so it seems a little strange pointing out this quote to you.

In other words, I’m asking “what would Churchill do” today… in the face of our current, most sobering threat to Western Civilization, which he would likely deem greater than even that which the Nazis posed?

At this pivotal point in history, with the fate of the world literally at stake - and America once again its only real hope - rather than accepting that the War on Terror is now lost because our current President is obviously ill-equipped to see it through to its rightful end, and hence the rest of us simply declaring it best to just bring our troops home etc., to the contrary, I now passionately believe it to be nothing less than committing long term cultural suicide.

No doubt, in the short term, we would likely feel better about taking our troops out of harm’s way, but can this possibly out-weigh subjecting all future generations of Americans to greater and greater oppression and tyranny from violently un-American and anti-Judeo-Christian forces in this world? I’m sure not.

To avoid it, we simply must recognize our current president’s leadership as simply the weak-link at this critical time, which is by design, subject to our unique representative system of “checks and balances”. That is, we must recognize him as sadly mistaken in his priorities and focus, and instead look to one another as Americans and to our founding principles, embracing our duty to get informed, stand up, speak out and determine the best possible course for America, through protests if necessary and of course through future elections.

As a few great patriots like yourself keep reminding us: WE are America!WE Define Her! (not our President) and WE will decide what wars are worth fighting… And when we do, we will fight them to win!! And the War on Terror or on Islamic Extremists, is a war that I believe most Americans definitely believe not only must be fought but must be won.

I grieve deeply along-side you, over the sacrifices and losses of America’s very finest men and women, especially as they are now not being granted the support and priority they so deserve from our leadership.

Whether you ever wished it upon yourself, the reality is that tens of millions of good Americans look to you my friend, as their own voice, and for clear guidance regarding their own conclusions on a great number of critical issues.

This is one conclusion that I humbly PRAY you will seriously reconsider.

In the end, who is in the White House right now or who controls Congress, will have been thought irrelevant. WE can change our direction. WE are America and WE will “never give in”…. Yes WE Can! …But somehow I think it’s a different “WE” this time.

With deepest respect and utmost gratitude,

Frank Newman

P.S. Yes, the weak “middle road” in any war will likely lead to unnecessary losses. However, not fighting, when we absolutely must, can only lead to the greatest long term loss. And on the other hand, fighting with the full force necessary, will unquestionably lead to the fewest.

Real "Change" Must Happen Within Each of Us

You have probably heard about the latest assaults on our freedom and liberties by Washington DC. Of course, I am referring to the Health Care Reform and Cap and Trade Bills.

Each bill represents TRILLIONS of dollars (MORE) than we are already dumping on the backs of our children and grandchildren (and most likely their great-grandchildren). Both bills are nothing more than incredibly corrupt power grabs, dressed-up and sold to us as what we need IMMEDIATELY!!, to allegedly create a better America and save the world from "global warming" etc. etc. etc. But believe me, the ones pushing this latest wave of insanity on us and our descendants are (and will for generations be) laughing all the way to the bank.

My fellow Americans, we are all being duped.

Even those who believe they are more open-minded and aware of the "real truth" about what's going on, because they tune in to NPR or PBS, rather than the mainstream media... they are being totally hoodwinked.

It is our own lack of careful consideration and questioning or vigilance, as Jefferson put it, that leads us to believe we are getting the "real story". It is our own unchecked trust in those with whom we have aligned ourselves - questioning only the other side and never our own or ourselves - which has brought us to our present state of idealogical obstanance.

It's not that we're stupid, it's just that we have forgotten or we never learned the most important intellectual and spiritual discipline - to continually question the veracity of everything we are being told, no matter how much we want to believe it.

We have forgotten this because we really want to believe that the people delivering the news and information (and even entertainment) to us are pretty much good people, who take their reporting and/or their jobs seriously and who themsleves are doing all of the hard questioning... so we don't really have to. We want to think of them as friends - people we can relate to - people we can trust - because they seem trustworthy and genuine. They seem to really care about us (at least in a general sense) and about representing what's real and true. We also often admire them for their courage and their success and we respect them and we like them.

So, in the process of "connecting" with people, whether in our day-to-day lives or through the media, we become increasingly less able to question them or what they are apparently thinking... Hence, we become aligned with them and we become loyal to them.

We also believe it is important and even noble to support and stand with others of like-mind. We believe it is good to belong to a cause or "the side" that we believe is right... It gives us a sense of purpose and identity. We feel we are contributing to society by holding our ground on issues and defending what we believe is right. In fact, it seems critical to our role as a Human Being!

But there is a problem...

There is a nagging possibility...

Is it possible that over the course of our lives we have been gradually mesmerized into believing blatant lies, in the form of masterfully presented propaganda, delvered with surgical precision to appear "honest", "non-biased" or even "counter cultural"?

This is how propaganda has always worked to manipulate the masses.

Here's the bottom-line problem:
Because most of us are relatively decent people ourselves, we tend to believe that other people are good and decent, but we are mistaken as we are missing what typically happens to men and women as they rise in positions of power and influence... they simply want more and more of it.

Ninety-five percent of our elected representatives, along with many equally greedy and corrupt corporate board members, are ultimately nothing more than puppets, who, due to their naturally escalating desire for money, power and respect etc., join with and allow themselves to be illegally manipulated by much more powerful corporate interests and international financial moguls and institutions (such as Goldman Sachs and GE etc.). These sad, godless creeps at the very top have been both creating and seizing every pseudo-crisis as an opportunity, wildly yet artfully distorting the real truth about each - its cause and its "only" solution - by way of their immense media influence i.e. playing on the ever-shortening attention-spans, base-emotions and general ignorance of the typical, hard-working American, with regard to the "complex issues" of our time.

Primarily through this incremental media and advertising onslaught (especially over the past fifty years or so), by lulling us all into a comfortable, hapless slumber, these Wall Street fat-cats and politicians have been convincing us that the big issues are too difficult for us "little people" to understand, thereby they and their "experts" have succeeded in defining "reality" for us - THEIR REALITY - again defining for us the causes for what they deem "crisis" and the "only possible solutions". Solutions that somehow, conveniently suit THEIR agenda... but of course, they don't spend billions advertising that last part.

Think about it:
There are only two kinds of people in this world. Those who only really care about what is objectively right, above all else, and those who reveal a willingness to compromise it (here and there) in order to accomplish what they want or to further a lesser agenda that THEY think is right.

Every day, each of us chooses (whether consciously or not) to associate with one group or the other.

No matter how much a "leader", who might be suspected of belonging to the latter group, says something we can relate to or leads us to believe that they care about us and others less fortunate etc. etc., if they have shown a consistent lack of willingness to represent and defend only what is objectively right (which can only come through TRUE humility and obedience to God) then they simply cannot be trusted to lead by what is indeed objectively right for ALL people.

Further, as a leader here in America, without continually evidencing their singular allegiance to the principles of "liberty and justice FOR ALL", then we can logically conclude that whatever other foundation that they build their principles upon, by definition, is intrinsically flawed. Thus, we can deduce that all they are ultimately interested in is increasing their own power money and influence. That is, as elected representatives of "We the People" if they were truly committed to defending the God-given rights of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" of EVERY American citizen, then they could never support or represent anything but what is objectively right, as defined not by them, but by God, as laid-out very clearly in our Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

The answer is indeed change, but the change needed is for each of us to seriously question how smart we have been - assuming that information sources that we have relied upon have really been objective and totally fair and completely willing to fairly examine ALL sides of every issue rather than defend and/or support only the side that we're on. Yes, it is time to change in the way that we ourselves need to seriously question what we are being force-fed even by those who promise "change" as if to somehow relieve us from our own EQUAL responsibility, as American citizens, to educate ourselves, stay vigilent and always be ready to stand up and defend what we believe is right, by God, not by our own, politically-correct view of the world. We need to change by disciplining ourselves to unplug from and start seriously questioning the newspapers, mainstream media, PBS and NPR (all government/corpporate sponsored and manipulated). We need to change our emotionally-based habits of looking only to those friends and even family members we have always agreed with, for information and back-up or support, and instead, look elsewhere for a "change", for information that might actually challenge our mindset and stretch us to consider what we have been unwilling to consider before. We need to change in these ways, so that through this openness, to all sides of the issues, we make ourselves stronger and more aware as individuals, thereby making America stronger as we help re-establish her on her, most noble founding principles. The answer is for each of us to change our way of life and our thinking about what's really important... changing how much we care about each other and about our country, which as Lincoln said was "Earth's last best hope...". We need to change by remembering this and meditating on what Lincoln meant by it and deprogramming ourselves from what our often corrupted educational system has done, for reasons unfit to even explore, to try to make many of us forget it.

Here is an article about the Health Care Reform Bill (or Health Care Destruction Bill) and a petition which I hope you will take a minute to sign (it actually took me about ten seconds).

But you can help stop The Madness.

Please take a minute to sign this petition keeping Government control OUT of Health Care.

Educating Ourselves About America's Foundations

I watched Glenn Beck’s 912 Project Update show the other night (5/1/09) and was inspired (although admittedly not reassured) and then read an article this morning on how the SF school district is shamelessly "celebrating" the homosexual lifestyle on their website and indoctrinating school-aged kids and KINDERGARTENERS with it, to which I wrote them the following:
"Hello,
I am looking for the webpage which celebrates the heterosexual lifestyle... I haven't been able to find it here. Can you please give me the link to that page, so I can share it with my 7 year old daughter along with this page? I am trying to make sure that she is able to learn about all of the diverse lifestyles that we embrace as Americans.
Thank you."
Of course, my aim was to shake them up a little - to perhaps get them to question their own integrity and hopefully realize that they are (at the very least) hypocrites - while also projecting a sense of genuine compassion for them and even for the unfortunate, misguided minorities that they are obviously biased towards and so blatantly promoting.

But, I am writing here now mainly because of what I believe has led us to this strange place and because of what one guy said at the end of Glenn’s show about how we need to educate ourselves etc.
I think that education is indeed the key to saving America, but the real question is: Educating ourselves about what exactly? You see, I also believe that too many of us seem to be tip-toeing around the "main thing".... i.e. God, and His ultimate importance to our liberty and prosperity, both individually and collectively.

Whether or not we see ourselves as religious individuals per se, I sincerely believe that America's ultimate downfall (heaven forbid) will be preceded by the ignorance or blindness of her citizenry to the fact that all of her Founders were either deeply religious Christians or were raised in an environment which certainly honored and even encouraged the Christian way of life. No matter how the history books of today might try to gloss over it or avoid the subject, true history clearly reveals how America (even long before the Founding) was primarily forged by Christians fleeing the religious oppression of Europe.

All of this is to say that nothing was more important for our Founders, in the formation of their world-views, and indeed nothing is more important for each of us than our moral foundations.

Even today, or perhaps especially today, we can see the importance of one's moral foundations everywhere we look... For example: In a general sense (relative to Baby-boomers and Generation-Xers etc.) today's Senior Citizens, though certainly not perfect, are largely and relatively more respectful, humble and just plain decent people. Note: this point can only be fully appreciated when viewed in general terms. That is, I am certainly not prejudiced against Baby-boomers or Gen-Xers - heck I'm a Baby-boomer myself.

I contend that this arguably significant generational difference exists primarily because the so-called "Greatest Generation" had typically been raised in a home and culture that honored godly values... considerably more so than the home and culture of their children and grandchildren... Especially since the 60's, American culture has moved away from God, and as a result, in general, Baby-boomers and Gen-Xers simply did not grow-up in an environment with anywhere near the same level of emphasis on God and/or Christianity as did their parents. To the contrary, they were and are very often exposed to or force-fed anti-religious and (particularly now) anti-Christian sentiments - indeed, those very foundations which our Founders relied upon above all else. And this environment - de-emphasizing God and religion (largely due to a misinterpretation of the Establishment Clause) - has unfortunately shaped or indeed misshaped all of us to some degree.

In other words, yes, we need to educate ourselves about the Constitution and what it really means etc., but additionally, and much more importantly, we need to understand those "foundational" godly principles which shaped the great minds of our Founders and which they would no doubt point to, above all else, as having inspired them to conceive of it.

This incredible challenge for each of us requires that, as we are educating ourselves, we cultivate or renew a genuine reverence for (at least equal to that of our Founders) God and/or the profound message of Jesus. For, just as many of our Founders knew and wrote about, it is not so much that we speak out about the economy or illegal aliens or any number of other, equally serious concerns, as much as it is that we understand how only through our own deep humility to God, and our commitment to doing His will, as individuals, will real strength and true wisdom live to protect and preserve Liberty.

Finally, as Lincoln said,
"We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth."
I believe this to be very very true; as without America, individuals will lose their ability to objectively and freely choose to learn about, to live for and to raise their kids to honor those same sacred foundations.
